Meter
Meters are virtual representations of parts or areas of a site against which reading data is held. Whilst meters and devices can often map one-to-one, this is not always the case as we may map the channels to different meters to make reporting and analysis more intuitive.
Meters can have parents and children. For example the meter for a whole building may have child meters for each of it's floors. A meter for an air condition unit may have a parent meter of the office it serves.
The actual reading data is kept against channels which a meter will have one or more of.
